Back to Basic Bootcamps could work for you whether you are new or returning to exercise, a natural born couch potato(!), regular exerciser who is disillusioned with the gym/classes or an advanced trainer who wants a serious challenge.
If you are the type of person who enjoys sharing exercising or don’t particularly like exercise but need to do it, then this fun group fitness boot camp is just what you need.
We cater for everyone - males and females, together with exercise novices to those looking to take their capability to the next level. We use a unique programme that has been developed to enable a range of abilities to exercise together. You will receive an all over body work out that challenges all of your body’s systems to increase your metabolism, decrease your waist line and improve your fitness in no time. So, whatever your fitness levels and whatever you want to achieve we can facilitate!
Maximum Intensity Training Bootcamps (MIT)
The Maximum Intensity Training Program was developed and is run by personal trainer Paul Mason and his team. MIT is a one to one or group based high intensity functional training program for people who are serious about their training and want to achieve results.
MIT workouts will teach you which functional exercises are the best metabolic boosters, but be prepared, you probably haven't felt anything like this before. It will be the hardest training that you have ever done both physically and mentally however you will finally be able to unleash your full fat-burning and muscle building potential - getting you a stronger, leaner, and more athletic build.

Why are we different?
Our main focus is that all our fitness boot camp clients are having fun, enjoying the exercises and benefiting from the community aspect that we have worked hard to establish.
Whilst we use the common term ‘boot camp’ so you can find us on-line, we’ve done our best to create something unique, friendly, fun and effective. So, if you’ve been thinking about joining a boot camp for a while but perhaps have been a little bit intimidated or worried about a military style/aggressive approach, we can assure you that we offer a much more supportive alternative for you.
Back to Basic Training is an effective, proven and trusted way of getting fit, losing weight and feeling great. The average, total calories burned during a session is 640 kcal, though this figure rises much higher the more you train with us. The average distance covered in a beginner class is 5km – but remember, we never leave anyone behind!
It's different – a lot of people are disillusioned with the gym and give up on fitness programmes because they become bored. That doesn’t happen at Cheshire Personal Training because all our instructors are highly qualified, mature Personal Trainers who understand that everyone is different and even though you are in a group setting they can tailor the experience to suit you as an individual.
Our varied programme of activities will ensure you leave us full of life and feeling great. The variety of every session being different is the key to our success. Each week you’ll be put through a fun, challenging, effective workout with team games, paired exercises, circuits, strength work and running.

I've really enjoyed the Sunday 'boot-camps' so far. They've been a tough work out but fun at the same time. Sarah and Paul have been working us hard but recognise our individual limits too and monitor our techniques to make sure we're doing the exercises right. - We run different Boot camps to suit everyone’s schedule, one hour - three days per week boot camps, half day Boot camps over a 6 week period, one day over a six week period, residential and weekend camps.
- Sessions are booked in monthly blocks of up to 12 sessions for £40 (half day, full day, residential and weekend bootcamps are separately priced) .
- You can take advantage of 1 a week or up to 3 a week.
You may find some cheaper boot camps out there but you certainly won’t get such individual support.
We deliberately want to keep it fun, effective and supportive, so you can
get the best from yourself in each and every session and enjoy the friends
and camaraderie that stem from the sessions.
When and where do they run?
Boot camps are currently run three times a week at
Gorse Covert Primary School, Birchwood, WA3 6TS
(2 minutes from junction 11 of the M62 with ample free parking next door at The Poacher car park) throughout the year and are booked in 4 week blocks or on a pay as go basis:
Monday evening at 6.30pm - 7.30pm Wednesday evening at 6.30pm - 7.30pm
Sundays at 10am - 11am
However, we have Personal Trainers who can cover various towns and villages throughout Cheshire, Manchester and Merseyside and with as little as 10 people we can start a session near you if demand is sufficient. All we ask is that you fill in the contact form to let us know what area you would like us to cover, and as soon as we have enough interest we can set it up.
Different types of exercise work for different people. We hope our Boot Camp will be exactly what you’re looking for, but it might not. The best indicator of whether it will work for you is by coming along to a session to try it out. So we offer a free session to anyone who wants to come along and try it out.
Obviously we hope you’ll sign up to continue thereafter, but you’re under no obligation to do so. Come along, join in the fun and make your mind up from there.
Boot Camp at Work or with Friends
Also if there are a group of at least 6 of you, be it friends or work colleagues, we can also set up a specific Boot Camp for just you and your group at a convenient location and time e.g. lunch-times, locally near work.
